Last week, I was under the impression that the word “guido” was a derogatory phrase used to describe Italians. After seeing this sneak peak at a new MTV show, I’m still under the impression that the word is still a derogatory phrase, but apparently its used to describe the absolute worst brand of Italian assholes (pause). Yes, this is real.
I’m probably not going to watch this show. But it has sparked a debate among anyone who has seen the preview.
Why haven’t we heard of these “guidos” before? Are they strictly a Jersey phenomenon? Is there a similar race of douchebags that we can compare to “guidos”? Was that really the same girl gettin passed around in the commercial?
Honestly, looking up the racial epithet on google revealed this jewel. Why hasn’t the guido been a bigger part of my comic upbringing? It just doesn’t make much sense.
Our search for true understanding of the guido led us to this video. I’ve pledged to never see this video again to uphold its hilarity integrity in my mind.
Just forward to about 1:00 mark and take in the glory of the fist pump. This shit puts LA’s jerkin to shame.
